Size:

For small courtyards (10-20 square meters), choose a low 1.2-1.5 meter floor lamp. For larger courtyards (over 30 square meters), choose a 1.8-2.5 meter tall floor lamp combined with a wall-mounted lamp or an underground lamp. Avoid lamp poles that are too high to appear empty or too low to appear oppressive.

Areas with high security requirements, such as gates and corners of fences (lights automatically turn on when someone approaches, providing a warning and enhancing safety);

Areas where frequent lighting is not required, such as leisure areas near lawns (no need to manually turn on the lights; lights turn on when someone sits and automatically turn off when they leave, convenient and practical). Tip: The sensing distance is typically 5-8 meters. Avoid installing near strong light (such as streetlights), as this may cause the light to malfunction (the strong light will mistakenly cause the light to illuminate during daytime).

Q3: Can Phoebus Decorative Poles protect against lightning strikes?

A: If your yard is located in an area prone to thunderstorms, you should ground the Phoebus Decorative Poles during installation (connect a ground wire to the base of the pole and to an underground ground electrode). Also, install a lightning surge protector (SPD) in the circuit to absorb the high voltage current generated by lightning strikes and protect the light and your home's electrical circuits.
