6m Street Lighting Pole's Foundation Depth

Today, Phoebus will discuss the depth of the foundation for the 6m street lighting pole. This has a direct impact on the streetlight's safety, structural stability, and, most importantly, its lighting efficiency. An incorrectly built streetlight will be unstable and may even collapse, with serious consequences, similar to a house with a firmly planted foundation in sand. How should a 6-meter street light pole be constructed to ensure its stability and effectiveness?

I. Excavation (Solar Streetlight Pole Foundation Pit and Battery Well)
According to the construction drawings, excavate the foundation pit at the light installation location. The distance from the road edge, width, and depth of the pit should be carefully controlled according to the drawings. The pit should not be too wide or too shallow, nor too narrow or too deep. Mechanical excavation can be used when there are no underground pipelines or other facilities. If there are uncertain underground pipelines or other facilities, manual excavation is necessary.
The general dimensions for the 6m street lighting pole foundation pit are: Length x Width: 550*550mm, Depth 950mm; Battery well dimensions are generally: 500*500mm, Depth: 300mm.
Notes:
A. Survey the site. If the top 1.2 meters of soil is soft, the excavation depth should be increased. Excavate a pit conforming to the drawing standards at the location of the light fixture for the positioning and pouring of embedded parts.
B. After excavating the street light foundation pit, confirm the battery box's burial location, ideally approximately 0.5 meters from the light pole, with an area approximately three times the size of the battery box. The depth varies depending on the region, generally 60-120 cm (consult our technical staff for specific details).
C. From the start of excavation to the end of installation, if the construction section is already open to traffic, implement protective measures to prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from entering the construction site.
II. Solar Street Light Foundation Pouring
Place the embedded foundation component in the center of the foundation pouring pit (ensure the embedded component, foundation, and original ground are on the same horizontal plane, or the top of the bolt is on the same horizontal plane as the original ground, with one side parallel to the road; this ensures the light pole is upright and not tilted). Then, place one end of the PVC pipe at the battery box placement location, and extend the other end approximately 30 cm through the center of the upper fixing plate of the foundation component in the foundation pouring pit. Finally, pour C20 concrete until compacted. It is best to use a vibratory pump during pouring to ensure the concrete is more uniform and solid, and finally grind the entire cement surface smooth.
